It is the best solution for poor reception situations. I found out that one has to have the antenna in a stationary mode instead of moving it around in search for a good position. When the tuner is turned on, it is in analog mode but switches to the digital signal in a few moments for a distortion free, high quality signal.

| The tuner comes with a remote control and two antennas. RCA cables to connect it to an amplifier are not included. The sound quality is good. For am stations that also broadcast in high def, it is much better sound. FM stations produce somewhat better sound. It is fairly easy to use; the best way to use it is to use station preset. Otherwise, it offers scanning and manually going up and down the frequencies. |

Easy setup.
Easy to use.
Did not pick up as many of the local HD stations as I would have liked. |

| I had read the rave reviews, but I wasn't prepared for just how good this tuner sounds. Incredibly low noise, great sensitivity. I also live near a fairly powerful FM transmitter that steps on other farther away stations on other radios, but not this tuner! I also got better reception with the included wire antenna than with my old amplified antenna. The extra HD stations are just a bonus! This has to be the audio bargain of the decade. |
