The Polk RM6751 satellite speaker accommodates listeners who want to add a channel or two to their existing 5.1-channel surround sound speaker system. Specifically designed for Polk's RM6750 setup--which itself comes with four satellites, a center speaker, and a subwoofer--the satellite helps fill out the rear effects, creating a true top-of-the-line home theater compatible with the latest surround encoding formats. Each RM6751 speaker is equipped with a 3.25-inch polymer composite cone midrange driver that's lightweight and efficient, along with a high-performance 0.5-inch silk dome tweeter. Combined, the drivers create a clear, distortion-free midrange and smooth highs.
The speaker also employs the same PowerPort bass vent technology used in Polk's line of full-sized speakers, thus improving the lower midrange response. The result is a midrange with no "hole" between the satellite and the sub frequencies, helping male vocals sound rich and full rather than thin and weak (as with most other sub/sat systems). Meanwhile, the satellite's integrated baffle and grille design allows for maximum sound dispersion and minimum diffraction, letting everyone in the room hear the same clear, well-balanced audio.
The speaker is housed within a mineral-filled, non-resonant, black-finished polypropylene enclosure that not only sounds natural, but also looks great. To top it off, the speaker includes an integrated keyhole slot-mounting bracket for effortless wall mounting. And because the speaker is magnetically shielded, you can locate the speaker near the TV without suffering from video interference. The speaker measures 4.06 by 6.5 by 5 inches (W x H x D) and is backed by a five-year warranty.

| Surprisingly good sounding as mains | 2010-01-03 | 4 / 5 |

I got these to use as full-range mains in multiple rooms hooked up to the whole-house wireless audio system. I was skeptical given their price but they sound really good.
And I don't just mean "good given the price I paid". I wanted something as small as possible that was capable of filling the rooms (13x13 average) with clear, present, musical sound, and these sound good in that context. I don't feel like I had compromise in price or size to get something that sounded good.
I must mention the type of music I play through them tends to be classical, jazz standards, modern jazzy stuff like Diana Krall, hard to classify stuff like Cesaria Evora and Pink Martini, other stuff like Lyle Lovett etc. They all sound good to me. The bass comes through clear and undistorted, the highs are surprisingly clear and silky, vocal mids sound well-placed. And, to top it all off, their imaging is rather transparent, so I can't really pick out a definite sound source.
In fact, these sound almost as good as some of the other similarly sized speakers I have which cost over 2x the price (Aperion Audio Intimus 4B's), and, in fact, handle lows better. (They're not as pretty though, but not distractingly bad looking either... they disappear into the background well).
I'd be happy even is there were more expensive, but since they aren't, I'm doubly happy. |
| Great for the rear surrounds | 2009-12-06 | 5 / 5 |

Got these for the extra two needed to make a full 7.1 surround for the RM6750 Polk system. Very satisfied with the speakers, and of course match perfectly the satellites that come with the RM6750 system.
Running a Yamaha RX-V765 with 95W through these using 16 gauge wire. Wonderful range and clarity. Mine did not come with any mounts, but have great molded hooks that you can use a deeper wood screw to hang if you will not need to aim them in a different direction from the wall face. |
| Great things in a small package! | 2009-12-05 | 5 / 5 |

| I paired 2 of these 6751s with a 6750 polk audio package and an onkyo 605 receiver in a 16x16 theater room. I figured since we just finished the basement I would try to think to the future so I wired for 7.1 even though a lot of things still just play in 5.1. I'm not an audiophile but the sound is crisp and clear. I have an Xbox 360, xbox, and wii hooked up through the receiver to the 58" panasonic plasma. The surround sound is fantastic on games, movies, and tv! I definitely got my money's worth with these speakers! had great prices and delivery was quick. |
| Polk Satellite Speakers - Big sound Small price | 2009-09-29 | 5 / 5 |

| I was recently in the market for satellite speakers to upgrade my ONKYO Surround sound system, all i wanted were the satellite speakers. I searched at all the usual retail stores. I had done my research and was set on buying POLK speakers. The retailers also highly recommended them but i was only able to find them in sets which included a center speaker, plus the ones in the set were half the size for about $600. I then turned to and was able to get a much better speaker at a great price $286 for all four including shipping and taxes! The clarity and sound quality is incredible, i will definitely be hearing from my neighbors soon as I tend to turn up the volume. So far i have experienced zero distortion, these combined with my PS3 and movies on Blu ray - just blow you away - Highly recommend these speakers |

| I ordered this one as a "cheaper" speaker and also a more expensive Boston Acoustic speaker. BA speaker was about 1.5x bigger and I expected it to blow this Polk one out of the air. Surprisingly, the smaller less expensive Polk had much clearer high notes and bass was punchier. Both had about the same loud level. Great speaker for small price! |
